This page contains information on how to use the Travis and Leigh website. If you are experiencing any problems or difficulty with the site, please read through this page first.

Website Requirements:
This website makes extensive use of JavaScript and employs Cookies to pass values from one page to another, so both of these technologies must be enabled on your browser to ensure you get full use out of the website. A cookie is a small text file that this website tells your browser to save so that it can remember something for later. Our cookies last only for as long as you are on our website - once you close your browser, they're gone.

This site has been tested with all major PC browsers. While we have done our utmost to ensure compatibility across a wide range of browser programmes, you should be aware that they each have their own particular quirks concerning the implementation of w3c standards. This may manifest itself in the pages not being rendered quite correctly on different browsers, but it should not interfere with the operation of the site.

Menu Navigation:
The menu to the left of the screen is an expanding menu system. Clicking on any of the main headings will open the menu up to display the items contained within. The top part of the menu - "Catalogue Browsing" - allows you to browse the products by their style, while the bottom part allows you to start by searching for a type of product - Bangles, Bracelets etc. Between these two parts, you should be able to find what you are looking for with a minimum of fuss.

Product Browsing:
After you have clicked a section of products in the browsing menu, you should see the first lot of those items displayed in the main area of the website. If there are more items in a category than can be displayed on one page, then the category will be split over several pages. The list of page numbers is displayed on the right hand side, both above and below the thumbnails, and the page you are currently looking at is highlighed in bold. The thumbnail 'cards' can be clicked to view a larger image of the product and some further information.

The Shopping Basket:
Clicking a thumbnail takes you to the product description, which is where you can add up to 99 of the item to your shopping basket. Enter the quantity you wish to add in the input box underneath the product image and click on the 'Add' button. The shopping basket will be displayed as a hovering window, showing everything you have added so far and the total cost of your order. From the shopping basket, you can remove all items, continue shopping or proceed to the checkout to pay for your purchases in our Secure Payment Area.

Currency Selection
You can change the currency that our prices are displayed in by clicking on the relevent currency symbol in the top-right hand corner of the page. Currently you are able to choose between British Pounds, Euros and US Dollars. All prices are still held in British Pounds internally, but this feature will help you calculate your final billing amount if this is not your native currency.
